Twiggy – Age 73
When Lesley Hornby walked into a hair salon in 1966, little did she know that she was about to change the face of fashion forever. With her slender frame, androgynous look, and signature pixie cut, Twiggy became an emblem of the swinging sixties and catapulted to fame. She graced the covers of numerous magazines and was declared “The Face of 1966.”
Twiggy’s transition to acting was as seamless as her transition into modeling. She won two Golden Globes for her performance in ‘The Boy Friend’ and established herself as a true performer with subsequent work on Broadway and television. Despite her advancing years, Twiggy has continued modeling and taken up various endeavors, proving age is no bar for this icon.
