She later established herself as a bankable movie star when she appeared in films like Only When I Laugh and Little Darlings. At just 24 years old, she made the decision to enter early retirement because she knew that this would make her happy. She later had no regrets and enjoyed her new regular life. In fact, she was able to become an acting teacher! She also supports different charitable causes. Back in 2012, McNichol confirmed that she’s lesbian.
