After a talent scout discovered her at the Northwestern University in 1958, she was immediately contracted by Metro Goldwyn Mayer to team up with Jim Hutton. It wasn’t long before the In Harm’s Way beauty established herself as a comedic leading actress with her hilarious vocal inflections and unrestricted acting flair, apart from also being a good dramatic actress. However, Paula actually took breaks from movies numerous times in her career to focus on her family and her battle with mental illness.
