Hollywood Golden Age Stars Who Are Still With US

Jimmy Lydon – Age 96

Born to an Irish Catholic family with an alcohol-dependent father, Jimmy Lydon first showed his acting chops in a Broadway play called Western Waters in 1937. He landed the role after making up a list of roles he had supposedly played. Simply put, Lydon faked it to make it in the industry! The outrageous act paid off as he eventually relocated to Hollywood with his family, where he landed a well-received starring role in Tom Brown’s School Days (1940). Lydon eventually worked behind the scenes and went on to help create the hit show M*A*S*H in 1972. Nowadays, he is busy with his own film house, Spectrum.
