Hollywood Golden Age Stars Who Are Still With US
Joe Turkel – Age 92
As Stanley Kubrick’s recurrent collaborator, Joe Turkel became known for his portrayal of the ghost bartender named Lloyd in the classic horror The Shining (1980). When Turkel was 16, he joined the US Army and later established himself as a screenplay writer in California. Apart from The Shining, Joe was also distinguished as Blade Runner’s Eldon Tyrell in 1982. However, if you were to ask the actor himself, he’ll tell you straight up that his 1957 film Paths of Glory is his favorite out of his acting portfolio. The 91-year-old Turkel retired from his acting career in 1998.
