Meteorologist’s Disappearing Act
KTLA meteorologist Liberté Chan is no stranger to wardrobe issues and experienced a similar malfunction during a live weather report in 2016. Wearing a light blue dress with a coral pattern, she stepped in front of the green screen, only to find the weather map projected onto her outfit, rendering her partially invisible.
Quick on his feet, co-anchor Chris Burrous offered his suit jacket to Liberté, who accepted it with a smile and quipped about her new librarian look. At least now we can rule out invisibility cloaks from our suspicions. The incident highlighted the challenges of dressing for green screen broadcasts and the importance of teamwork in live television.
