In early 2020, WLOS ABC 13’s Justin Hinton thought he was simply reporting live on a North Carolina snowstorm, but the internet had other plans. During his Facebook Live broadcast, he accidentally activated a “Mystery Mask” filter that instantly transformed his serious weather update into a comedy act.
One moment, he was a wizard, the next a space helmet-clad hero, and then suddenly, he was wearing a funky pair of sunglasses. Completely unaware, Justin continued delivering his report while viewers were treated to his magical transformations. The hilarious segment was recorded and shared across the web, giving “Snowmageddon” a fun twist and cementing Justin as an accidental internet sensation.
