In December 2015, esteemed journalist Poppy Harlow had a shocking moment during a live CNN broadcast. While reporting on the War on Terror survey, she suddenly began slurring her words and then fainted, leaving viewers and her co-anchors in stunned silence. Moments later, she regained consciousness and assured everyone she was fine.
She attributed it to a brief episode caused by overheating. Not to mention, she was pregnant at the time. Despite the scare, Poppy’s professionalism shone through as she returned to the air shortly after to finish the broadcast. The unexpected on-air moment left audiences with a story they wouldn’t soon forget.
