Phoenix meteorologist Cory McCloskey faced an outrageous glitch during his live weather report in 2015. The temperature map displayed absurdly high numbers, showing towns with temperatures soaring into the thousands of degrees. He joked that folks in Cave Creek might be experiencing a “record-breaking heat” of 2960 degrees and quipped that residents should “get out while you still can.” His humorous take turned the blunder into a viral sensation. The studio erupted in laughter as Cory navigated the faulty forecast with wit, showcasing his ability to keep cool under pressure—quite literally.
