Został laureatem wielu nagród, w tym Orderu Orła Białego. Niewątpliwie jest jednym z najbardziej znanych i cenionych aktorów w Polsce, bardzo zasłużenie zresztą. Kino pozostaje jego wielką miłością od młodzieńczych lat.
