Jej aktorski debiut miał miejsce w 1981 roku w produkcji pod tytułem It All Began, jednak to dopiero jej rola w Crocodile Dundee w 1986 roku przyniosła jej sławę oraz uznanie. Kilkadziesiąt lat później, trzeba przyznać, iż nadal wygląda olśniewająco. Aktora dwukrotnie wychodziła za mąż za aktora Paul’a Hogana, którego poznała na planie filmu Crocodile Dundee, ich drugi i ostatni rozwód miał miejsce w 2014 roku.
