Schon in höherem Alter hat sie nach James Bond, The Avengers und weiteren internationalen Erfolgen einen weiteren Durchbruch erlangt, als sie die Rolle der Olenna Tyrell inGame of Thronesübernahm. Nach einigen gesundheitlichen Problemen ist sie wieder aktiv als Schauspielerin und hat im Jahr 2017 noch in einer Fernsehserie mitgewirkt. Ihre Tochter Rachael tritt auch in ihre Fußstapfen und widmet sich der Schauspielerei.
