Susan Dey’s rol in The Partridge Family lanceerde haar een erg succesvolle carrière in. Voor haar acteercarrière begon was ze een model. Na haar grote doorbraak kreeg ze rollen in verschillende televisieshows en films zoals Bed of Lies, Hawaii Five-O, S.W.A.T. en L.A. Law.
Met haar rol als Grace Van Owen in L.A. Law heeft Susan een Golden Globe Award gewonnen. In 2004 nam ze een pauze van de entertainment industrie, maar ze is recentelijk nog wel op evenementen gezien. Susan is nog steeds een prachtige vrouw, ook op haar 67ste nog.
