Gena Rowlands quit the acting profession in 2014 after delivering riveting performances in over a hundred projects on television and big screens. Some of the most memorable ones include ‘A Woman Under the Influence’ and ‘Gloria.’ The multi-award-winning actress has a unique screen presence that, even to date, ranks her among the most original movie stars of the century.
Her swansong was a performance befitting an actress of her caliber in the comedy-drama ‘Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks’ playing the lead. Looking fabulous and flawless, Gena portrayed the role of a retired woman Lily Harrison who wants to learn dance. It happened to be the perfect project to leave us in awe of the legend this lady undoubtedly is.
