O casamento de Preta Gil e Rodrigo Godoy, que começou em 2015, chegou ao fim em 2023 durante um dos momentos mais delicados da vida da cantora. Enquanto Preta enfrentava o tratamento contra um câncer, ela revelou que não recebeu o apoio emocional que esperava do marido. A situação se tornou ainda mais dolorosa quando Preta descobriu que Rodrigo estava a traindo com Ingrid Lima, sua stylist e amiga pessoal.
Preta relatou que Rodrigo a deixou sozinha em casa, faltando com o cuidado e suporte necessário para alguém em tratamento oncológico. Em meio a essa fase difícil, a cantora decidiu entrar com o pedido de divórcio em março de 2023.
