Britische Soldatinnen – Pionierinnen an der Front
Seit dem Ersten Weltkrieg, als Frauen erstmals in die britische Armee eintreten durften, hat sich das Bild der weiblichen Soldatin stark gewandelt. Mittlerweile stellen sie 11% der britischen Streitkräfte dar und haben seit der Aufhebung des Kampfeinsatzverbots im Jahr 2016 Zugang zu allen militärischen Positionen.
Dieser bedeutende Fortschritt ermöglicht es Frauen, sich in jeder Rolle zu beweisen, von der Bodenkampftruppe bis hin zur Bewerbung für Eliteeinheiten wie die SAS. Der Weg britischer Soldatinnen von reinen Unterstützungskräften zu vollwertigen Kampfmitgliedern markiert einen historischen Wandel in der Rolle der Frau im Militär.
