Verblinding met diamanten: De Mercedes SL500 van prins Al-Waleed
Prins Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul-Aziz, bekend om zijn extravagante aankopen, heeft zeker de aandacht getrokken met zijn oogverblindende Mercedes SL500. De Mercedes van de prins is niet zomaar een luxewagen, maar is bedekt met diamanten, waardoor het een uitzonderlijk bewijs is van zijn rijkdom.
Dit glinsterende voertuig maakte zijn grote debuut op de Dubai Auto Show, waar het de schijnwerpers stal en de toeschouwers versteld deed staan. Zijn glans is echter niet beperkt tot esthetiek. Met een robuuste 5,0-liter V8-motor onder de kap kan de met diamanten bezette SL500 snelheden tot 160 km/u bereiken. De Mercedes van prins Al-Waleed combineert adembenemende luxe met bloedstollende prestaties en is duidelijk niet zomaar een auto, maar een spektakel van snelheid en extravagantie.
