Corny Collins – Geboren 1933
Corny Collins, geboren 1933 in Berlin als Gisela Szymanski, begann ihre Karriere als Arzthelferin, bevor sie von Günter Pfitzmann für das Kabarett entdeckt wurde. Nach Schauspielunterricht folgten Theaterauftritte und 1957 ihr Filmdebüt in “Die Freundin meines Mannes”. In den 1950er- und 1960er-Jahren spielte sie in zahlreichen Filmen mit, darunter “Immer die Radfahrer” und “Das indische Tuch”. Als Synchronsprecherin lieh sie ihre Stimme internationalen Stars wie Ruby Dee und Marion Ross.
Ab Mitte der 1960er-Jahre war sie vermehrt in Fernsehproduktionen zu sehen. Ihren letzten Film, “Reise ohne Wiederkehr”, drehte sie 1989; danach trat Corny nur noch auf der Bühne auf. Sie lebt in Berlin-Zehlendorf.
