Elke Sommer – Geboren 1940
In den 1960er-Jahren avancierte Elke Sommer zur internationalen Filmikone. Nach ihrem Sieg beim Schönheitswettbewerb “Miss Viareggio Turistica” wurde sie von Regisseur Vittorio De Sica entdeckt und startete ihre Schauspielkarriere in Italien. Der internationale Durchbruch gelang ihr mit dem Film “Der Preis” (1963) an der Seite von Paul Newman. Es folgten Rollen in Hollywood-Produktionen wie “Ein Schuss im Dunkeln” mit Peter Sellers.
Neben der Schauspielerei war Sommer auch als Sängerin erfolgreich und veröffentlichte mehrere Alben. Ab den 1990er-Jahren widmete sie sich verstärkt der Malerei und stellte ihre Werke international aus. Unter dem Pseudonym “E. Schwartz” schuf Elke farbenfrohe Gemälde, die von Künstlern wie Marc Chagall inspiriert sind.
