Basia to jedna z niewielu artystek, której udało zdobyć się międzynarodową sławę w środowisku z taką przewagą mężczyzn. Jej debiutancki album nosił tytuł “Time and Tide”, na którym znalazł się przebój “New Day for You”, który znalazł się wysoko na liście US Billboard Hot 100.
