Teresa Lipowska jest absolwentką Wydziału Aktorskiego w Łodzi a zaraz po ukończeniu studiów zaczęła występować w Teatrze Telewizji, jak również teatrze Polskiego Radia, jak również na scenach kilku stołecznych teatrów.
Grała także w popularnym kabarecie Dudek. Jedną z jej najbardziej rozpoznawalnych ról jest ta w serialu “M jak Miłość”, gdzie wciela się w sympatyczną seniorkę rodu o imieniu Barbara.
