Adelle Lutz and David Byrne – 17 years
Actress and artist Adelle Lutz met quirky Talking Heads frontman David Byrne while working as a costume designer in Japan. Lutz, whom Tim Burton fans may recognize as a guest at the haunted dinner party scene in Beetlejuice, reportedly inspired the haunting, down-tempo Talking Heads song Naive Melody. Lutz wouldn’t be Byrne’s muse forever, though, as the couple divorced in 2004. Along with any money won in a divorce settlement, Lutz’s savings account is sustained by contributing costume pieces and installations to museums around the world.
