Joaquin Phoenix – 52 Pounds Lost, Dieting

Joaquin won over critics’ and fans’ hearts after the phenomenal performance in ‘Joker.’ To really get into the groove of the part, he had to look hungry and unhealthy as per the director. Given the actor’s dedication, he went on to lose 52 pounds instead of using prosthetics or makeup.

The Academy Award winner underwent a carefully restrictive diet under the watchful eyes of doctors. He wanted to make sure that the process was safe. His transformation involved controlling carbohydrates and calories, which ultimately results in the burning of fat. Phoenix has admitted that the process wasn’t easy physically and required a lot of effort, but it eventually paid off!

George R.R. Martin changed the world of television when ‘Game of Thrones’ graced the small screens. With its complex set of characters and mind-boggling storyline, it became a huge hit among fans globally. The ‘HBO’ show has also won many awards since its debut in 2011.

Meanwhile, it looks like the eccentric author definitely enjoys positive reviews, and it’s not just about the show! These days, he seems significantly fitter and healthier. No one knows exactly how he did so or how many pounds he lost, but one can be sure that it must be the tension of finally completing the series’ final books.
