Chaz Bono – 85 Pounds, Eating Healthy
Among the trailblazers for the global trans community, musician and philanthropist Chaz Bono is a well-known name, for his very public and well-documented gender transition. The only child of the world-renowned singing duo ‘Sonny & Cher,’ Chaz underwent gender reassignment surgery that resulted in a sudden weight gain.
He began his weight-loss regimen by just eating healthy, focusing primarily on meats and vegetables while shunning sugar, carbs, and processed foods. Though initially dropping several pounds quickly, the tail-end of his diet was hard. However, even though his progress plateaued, Chaz Bono persisted in his efforts and managed to lose a whopping 85 pounds.
