Durante gli anni 70, è passata dall’essere una showgirl, una cantante rock a fare apparizioni in film e show televisivi.
Solo negli anni 80 è effettivamente diventata per la prima volta Elvira, con il film Una strega chiamata Elvira a seguito di alcune apparizioni minori in televisione nei panni dello stesso personaggio. Il personaggio di Cassandra sta ancora facendo delle performance oggi! Cassandra è anche vegetariana e ha partecipato alle pubblicità della PETA, promuovendo una dieta vegetariana.
