Nel 1994 fu addirittura eletta donna più bella del mondo. Da molti anni Ornella vive a Mosca con il suo compagno Fabrice Kerhervé. I due a quanto pare però sono ai ferri corti e Ornella ha deciso di lasciarlo, ma di rimanere comunque a vivere nella capitale russa.
