La Andrews ha iniziato la sua carriera da piccola ed è diventata famosa dopo aver partecipato a musical come My Fair Lady, Camelot, etc. La sua performance di debutto in un film è stata nel 1964 in Mary Poppins, ha vinto un Academy Award come Migliore Attrice. È stata nominata Dama dalla Regina Elisabetta II nel 2000. Ha avuto un ruolo come doppiatrice nel 2017 in Cattivissimo Me 3 e nel 2018 in Aquaman.
