La gran responsable detrás de todos los triunfos es el amor de su vida Patricia González, a quien conoce desde su infancia y con quien contrajo matrimonio en el año 2003. Juntos tienen una hermosa familia con tres hijos. Son una de las parejas más estables del fútbol profesional y los 17 años de matrimonio dan fe de ello.
