“Wat is hier aan de hand?” informeerde de onvriendelijke stewardess, haar irritatie over de terugkeer van haar collega duidelijk hoorbaar. Haar stem droeg een ondertoon van minachting terwijl zij de situatie met een zucht aanschouwde. De vriendelijke stewardess, duidelijk buiten adem van haar haast, negeerde haar minachtende blik en keek Cora recht in de ogen. “Sarah! Sarah! Kom hier!” riep zij opgewonden. Wat had zij ontdekt? Cora voelde de energie in de cabine verschuiven, alsof een plotselinge doorbraak in de lucht hing. Het leek erop dat dit verhaal nog niet ten einde was.
