Może i jest supermodelką, ale Cindy Crawford jest również bardzo mądra. W 1984 r. modelka otrzymała stypendium akademickie na studia inżynierii chemicznej na Northwestern University. Jednak po jednym semestrze zrezygnowała z wyższego wykształcenia aby rozwinąć swoją karierę w modelingu. Jej międzynarodowe sukcesy w tej dziedzinie pomogły jej w spróbowaniu swoich sił w aktorstwie.
Oficjalnie zrezygnowała z modelowania w latach ’00, ale nadal od czasu do czasu dostaje oferty pracy. W 2017 roku była jedną z kilku supermodelek, które zamknęły pokaz mody Versace na kolekcję wiosna / lato 2018. Nie można więc mieć wątpliwości, iż nadal jest oszałamiająco piękna. Pokaz był hołdem dla zmarłego projektanta, Gianniego Versace.
