Auch wenn der Schlagerstar in seiner Karriere auch immer wieder wegen Alkohol und Geldproblemen Schlagzeilen schrieb, ist er heute scheinbar endlich angekommen und an der Seite von Christin Stark, die selbst auch Schlagersängerin ist, kann er nun ein etwas ruhigeres Leben führen. Die Beiden sind nun schon seit 7 Jahren zusammen und haben einen Altersunterschied von über 30 Jahren. Doch das scheint sie nicht zu stören, denn auch wenn Matthias bereits 6 Kinder aus früheren Beziehungen hat, wollen sie nun ein gemeinsames Kind haben.
