Marie Osmond jest częścią słynnej rodziny Osmond, ale tak naprawdę nigdy nie została członkiem ich grupy muzycznej. Talent wokalny wciąż był jednak wpisany w jej DNA, więc Marie postanowiła rozpocząć karierę solową. Była uważana za piosenkarkę country, a jej najpopularniejszym singlem był Paper Roses.
