Patrick se tornou um nome familiar na série A Anatomia de Grey e a cada novo episódio sua conta bancária vai também aumentando. Sua mãe foi diagnosticada com câncer de ovário e morreu aos 79 anos, o que fez com que Patrick também se envolvesse na pesquisa sobre câncer.
