Desde 2018, as produções de Downey Jr. arrecadaram mais de $4,5 bilhões em vendas de bilheteria nos Estados Unidos. Fora da Marvel, ele também recebeu muito por outros filmes: ele foi pago $15 milhões para ser Sherlock Holmes em Sherlock Holmes: O Jogo de Sombras, em 2011.
