Durante la Copa América del 2007 este futbolista mexicano logró un gran éxito en su carrera al marcar un gol frente al equipo de la selección de Brasil. A partir de ese momento consiguió una gran cantidad de oportunidades en diferentes clubes europeos. Sin embargo aparecieron algunos problemas de disciplina y falta de rendimiento.
Esto perjudica su carrera de manera notable al punto de participar en muchos equipos de fútbol de menor nivel. Esto provocó su retiro definitivo del fútbol en el 2014. A partir de ese momento, este exfutbolista decidió aprender y brindar todo su tiempo a la pesca como principal actividad.
