Mick Jagger – Bent
Did you know that Mick Jagger played the role of a transgender person in a 1997 movie? British/Japanese drama film Bent, directed by Sean Mathias, saw Jagger playing an unusual role. The movie, based on a 1979 play of the same name, revolves around the harassment of gay people in Nazi Germany.
Jagger had a small role in the movie, at the opening scene. To be honest, it wasn’t such a big deal and with his fame from The Rolling Stones, this little bit is almost forgotten. The movie received mixed reviews from the critics but received two awards – at the Cannes Film Festival and at the Torino International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, respectively.
