Lee Pace – Soldier’s Girl
Lee Pace played Calpernia Adams, the love interest of Barry Winchell, a soldier who fell in love with her, a transgender woman performer. The full movie was based on a true story and the romantic film evolved into a drama, in which Barry ended up being killed by a fellow soldier.
Pace’s performance was flawless. Fortunately for him, he has continued to take risks during his career. An example of this was his appearance in the play Nassim, where the actors received the script only during the play, making it a groundbreaking feat that was greatly praised by the critics.
