Donald Duck is een van Disney’s meest geliefde personages, bekend om zijn opvliegende karakter en iconische stem. Hij waggelde in de harten van het publiek in 1934, toen hij voor het eerst verscheen in “The Wise Little Hen”. En blijkbaar werd hij gecreëerd als contrast met Mickey Mouse, met een komischer en meer relateerbaar personage.
Zijn populariteit schoot omhoog door zijn mensachtige gebreken en humoristische capriolen, waardoor hij een vaste waarde werd in Disney. Hier zien we Donald met uitgestrekte armen, waarschijnlijk in een van zijn klassieke tekenfilm driftbuien als Pluto, altijd de speelse pup, hem nadoet. Goofy, die van een afstandje toekijkt, draagt bij aan de eigenaardigheid van de scène.
