Een monopolie op Disney attracties
Monopoly is een familiefavoriet sinds 1935. De combinatie van strategie, geluk en de spanning van het vergaren van rijkdom – ook al is het alleen maar papiergeld – maakt het tot een favoriet spel voor gezellige avondjes uit. Het is ook fascinerend hoe een spel over onroerend goed en bankieren kan uitmonden in urenlange competitieve spanning.
Een Monopolybord naar Splash Mountain brengen is een ander verhaal. Disney had waarschijnlijk nooit gedacht dat ze zouden moeten specificeren “geen bordspellen op achtbanen,” maar hier zijn we dan. Hun beleid is bedoeld om te voorkomen dat losse voorwerpen rondvliegen en voor afleiding of, erger nog, letsel zorgen. Maar deze jongens vonden een maas in de wet met hun Monopolyspel op grote hoogte.
