Achter de kasteelmuren: Disney’s meest memorabele ongelukken onthuld!
Waarom zo verdrietig?
Op deze foto, genomen in Disney’s Splash Mountain, lijkt een man de reputatie van het park als de “gelukkigste plek op aarde” te tarten. Zijn trieste uitdrukking staat in schril contrast met de gebruikelijke spanning en lach van de attractie. Tenslotte was Splash Mountain, gecreëerd door Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter, nooit bedoeld als decor voor sombere gezichten.
Het idee voor Splash Mountain ontstond toen Disney op zoek was naar een manier om meer bezoekers naar hun minder populaire gebieden te trekken. De attractie, die ongeveer 75 miljoen dollar kostte om te bouwen, opende in 1989 en werd al snel een fanfavoriet vanwege de spannende afdalingen en aanstekelijke muziek.
