De oorsprong van Flash Mountain
Splash Mountain kreeg ooit de beruchte bijnaam “Flash Mountain” omdat sommige gasten ervoor kozen om meer dan alleen hun glimlach te tonen aan de camera. Deze trend, waarbij sommige bezoekers de camera’s flitsten tijdens de fotosessie van de attractie, leidde tot een behoorlijke situatie voor Disney.
Om dit aan te pakken, heeft Disney een screeningsproces geïmplementeerd. Nu wordt elke foto beoordeeld voordat deze wordt weergegeven of beschikbaar wordt gesteld voor aankoop. Als een foto ongepast wordt geacht, wordt deze gewoon niet getoond, zodat de gezinsvriendelijke sfeer van het park behouden blijft. Deze screening betekent ook dat het personeel foto’s kan tegenhouden die niet voldoen aan Disney’s fatsoensnormen.
