Achter de kasteelmuren: Disney’s meest memorabele ongelukken onthuld!
De Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Hoewel de houten achtbanen van Disney minder talrijk zijn dan hun stalen tegenhangers, bieden ze nog steeds onvergetelijke sensaties. De meest iconische is waarschijnlijk de “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad,” die in 1979 in Disneyland werd geopend, gevolgd door versies in andere Disney-parken. De attractie staat bekend om zijn wild-west mijnthema en opwindende valpartijen en bochten.
Een andere opvallende vermelding is de “Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland”, een voorloper van Big Thunder Mountain, die van 1960 tot 1977 in bedrijf was. Toch is het grappig om te zien hoe een clown, meestal de belichaming van plezier en lachen, beslist niet geamuseerd kijkt in een attractie die draait om sensatie en vreugde.
