Een kledingstuk voor alle leeftijden
Disney’s talent voor het creëren van memorabele merchandise begon bijna zodra Mickey Mouse op het toneel danste in 1928. De eerste golf Mickey Mouse-artikelen kwam in 1930 in de winkels terecht en zette een trend in gang die sindsdien is voortgezet. Van pluchen speelgoed tot kleding, Mickey is een mode-icoon in zijn eigen recht.
Disney’s lijn van truien met het gezicht van de beroemde muis, zoals deze vrouw draagt, is een vast onderdeel van de garderobe voor fans van alle leeftijden. Toch is de manier waarop Mickey’s hoofd uit het kledingstuk lijkt te ‘barsten’ een heerlijk toeval dat voor verschillende interpretaties vatbaar is.
