Mais tarde, ela estrelou em vários outros filmes, mas seu desempenho em Curtindo a Vida Adoidado fez dela uma atriz de primeira linha. Em um ponto, ela passou por um grande drama, quando seu casamento com Jason Connery desmoronou e ela teve que contratar um advogado perito em divórcios para superar o problema.
Felizmente, ela ultrapassou esses problemas e acabou se casando com outro ator (Brian Henson). Mia se aposentou da atuação em 2013 e agora ela tem mais tempo para se dedicar a seu amor pelos voos.
