Seu maior sucesso foi com o filme Férias Frustradas, que o tornou um dos atores com mais reconhecimento. Ele apareceu recentemente em vários filmes de baixo orçamento, o que talvez o tenha ajudado a evitar empréstimos ou dívidas (bem, achamos que está muito longe disso, porque ele tem um patrimônio líquido de US$ 8 milhões).
Alegadamente, Hall não se dá bem com seus vizinhos e esteve envolvido em várias disputas com eles. Chegou a um ponto em que houve agressões físicas. Hall teve que contratar um advogado criminal quando foi acusado de “agressão com ferimentos graves” por um Procurador Distrital.
