Apesar de sua trajetória inesquecível, o ator tem desacelerado o ritmo de sua carreira e aparecido cada vez menos nas telas de TV e cinema. Com mais de 70 anos, é muito justo que ele queira aproveitar a aposentadoria, mas seu sumiço acabou gerando consequências. Muitos telespectadores acreditam que ele já faleceu ou sequer lembram-se dele, quando na verdade ele ainda está vivíssimo e simplesmente levando uma rotina mais tranquila, longe da correria das gravações.
