Osi Umenyiora a eu une carrière fructueuse avec les New York Giants. Il faisait partie de l’équipe gagnante lors du Super Bowl XLII et XLVI. Il a également été sélectionné pour le Pro Bowl à deux reprises au cours de sa carrière. Umenyiora a pris sa retraite en 2015 et travaille encore en tant que spécialiste sportif.
La même année où il a pris sa retraite, il s’est marié à la reine de beauté angolaise Leila Lopes, plus reconnue pour avoir été couronnée Miss Univers en 2011. Le couple a annoncé en février 2018 qu’ils attendaient leur premier enfant.
