Isabel Dos Santos – $4 Billion
In case you don’t know who Isabel dos Santos is, she’s the first person to become a billionaire in Africa, and also the continent’s wealthiest figure. Her father is Jose Eduardo, Angola’s former President, and using her family’s wealth, Isabella acquired stocks mainly from Angolan and Portuguese companies. Today, she has amassed a whopping $4-billion fortune, and she recently invested in a telecommunications company in Angola called Unitel, which was created with the help of Portugal Telecom. Dos Santos is married to Congolese businessman Sindika Dokolo, with whom they share three children.
