Iman – Geboren in 1955
Iman Abdulmajid kennen we eigenlijk vooral als Iman. Ze is een Somalisch model, maar groeide op in Egypte en verhuisde later naar Kenia. Pas toen zij fulltime model werd verhuisde Iman naar de Verenigde Staten, waar zij in 1977 trouwde met basketballer Spencer Haywood.
Dit huwelijk eindigde in 1987, waarna Iman in ’92 trouwde met poplegende David Bowie. Zij bewijst dat ze meer is dan slechts een mooi koppie en heeft het druk als zakenvrouw en filantrope. Haar kledingcollectie Global Chic is zeer exclusief en hip. Iman Cosmetics bracht een cosmeticalijn uit voor mensen met een donkere huid, die gretig aftrek vindt. Iman is woordvoerster van Keep A Child Alive, dat kinderen met AIDS helpt in Afrika en India.
