De Zwitserse actrice en voormalig model heeft nogal wat plastische chirurgie gehad, en deze is ook zeker nog te zien. Ze was echter wel één van de eerste Bond girls, en zo wilde zij dus een bepaald uiterlijk vast houden doormiddel van plastische chirurgie. In haar glorietijd was ze een groot vrouwelijk symbool.
Ze speelde in Italiaanse én Hollywood films voordat ze haar rol in Dr. No kreeg in 1962. Al haar tekst is in die film echter later overgesproken, wegens haar Zwitserse accent. Andress is inmiddels al gepensioneerd. Haar laatste film was The Bird Preachers uit 2005.
